We have experience creating landcover classifications and conducting change detection analysis using satellite, aerial, and UAV imagery. We have expertise in radar, multispectral, hyperspectral, and Lidar data. We can work with you to develop a method to integrate remote sensing into your agency/company geo-processing workflow or we can create one off remote sensing products.
Landcover classification using remote sensing is an effective way to inventory large areas for a fraction of the cost of on the ground mapping. The large variety of scales that can be mapped, i.e. individual trees and forest types, make it truly versatility. To look at change over time multiple landcover classifications can be compared, allowing the smallest changes to be easily detected. Creating accurate landcover classifications at the right scale is a difficult process that requires the proper imagery and classification algorithm. We have over 10 years of landcover classification experience using a variety of classification algorithms and imagery.
Lidar comes in a lot of shapes and sizes these days. It can be daunting when faced with the choices of platform, sensor, and point density (not to mention the cost of collection!). Once collected how do you work with such large amounts of data? We have over 10 years of processing and collecting aerial, terrestrial, satellite, and UAV Lidar and can help you at every step of the lidar process.
Satellite imagery offers users the ability to collect imagery at any location on the earth (and beyond!) And with more and more companies and agencies developing sensors it is hard to stay up to date on spatial resolutions, spectral resolutions, and return intervals. We have over 15 years of processing and collection experiences and know what sensor/platform is the best for you mapping application.
The UAV craze has swept the country! What was once thought of as a hobby has carved a niche in the remote sensing community. With improvements in sensors and platforms, the accuracies once only associated with airplanes are possible on the smallest of UAVs. Whether you are collecting 3-band or hyperspectral imagery and need to develop a workflow, just need help understanding UAV imagery bids, or want to explore structure from motion from a past collection, we can help.
Nothing is more important to the accuracy of remote sensing than collecting accurate and complete field data. Not all GPS's are created equal! but not every application requires survey grade GPS locations. We have over 15 years of experience collecting ecological, geological, and geodetic field data. We have access to GPS technology, a spectroradiometer, and a Terrestrial laser scanner and know how to use them in concert to collect accurate and complete field data.
